Well hopefully there were a number of objectors, but thanks. The inquiry will be open to all who wish to attend, but only those who have already been contacted by the DFT can present oral or written evidence. Written evidence can continue to be submitted until August 4th. The main response I had from Network Rail so far is that their depot will have fewer traffic movements than Jewson, but of course the main difference is that Jewson has limited opening hours and the bulk of their traffic being tradespersons is early in the day, Mon-Sat. Whereas the NR depot will operate 24/7 and due to the nature of their work will have traffic movements from 2300-0700, then noisy loading and unloading of trucks during the night. |
