| had a great time in the market. It was so easy and such fun - the huge smiles when the young women in headscarves realised somebody was giving them a book just for the pleasure of it...the rough drinkers and the Godly people who reach out to them...the stallholders and the vicar. And only one abusive drunk. Result! Also met both Shelley and Lena - the only two Acton givers I knew about. Maybe next year we can do a meg-stall with lots of the titles. And the synergies: loads of signatures to the 91 Shakespeare road petition; awareness built for the CPZ K consultation and quite a few new members signed up. So the frozen feet and hands probably worth it! |
