Angela I don't think that will happen, unfortunately. It's cheaper these days to eat rubbish out of plastic trays than it is to cook from scratch. I quite often see people with 10 ready meals in their supermarket trolley, each costing £1 - £10 for ten meals? Try doing that with fresh produce, it's not easy, especially when, for example, a fresh pepper costs nearly 80p. The supermarkets have a lot to answer for - they've helped ruin our pubs, our local shops and our diets. Until the government grows a pair and puts its foot down there's no point them moaning on about obesity. Isn't it funny that these days poor people are fat and rich people are skinny when historically it's always been the other way around. |
