| Dee, just want to say... You will be pleased to hear, that I am one of these good samaritans who was brought up properly! Just last week I witnessed a man take a nasty fall after slipping on the wet floor of Paddington station, and I am pleased to say that I stopped to check he was alright and helped him get back on his feet - and I was helped by at least one other person! Anyway, here's the real reason I came to this thread: Has anyone else in the area noticed a large amount of water on the road this morning on Horn Lane, I believe it was particularly around the Lynton Road area? I will check again tonight if it is still there. I couldn't be sure whether the standing water was due to a burst pipe or just a lot of rain, as it had been raining overnight, but like I say I will check again tonight when hopefully the roads should be a bit more free of rainy dampness and if there is still a large amount of water there I will get TW to check it out. |
