I have always thought it really unfair and patronising of Mr Young to assume that only his school has an interest in expecting high standards and academic rigour! I have yet to come across a school that wants academic laziness and actively asks for the lowest standards of their students! That says it all about his and his group's intentions. Patronising, unfair, bullying - don't want my children educated in such an environment. Better they flourish in an environment that expects the very highest standards of their academic achievement, their behaviour - and their morality and respect for those around them - ALL of those around them. |
