| Well congratulations on your successful contribution to the topic Colin. Your right, there probably are no planning regs on 'for sale' signs outside houses. But there definitely should be. I'm sure if I attached an advert to the front of my house, perhaps a flashing neon one for good measure, then I would be reprimanded. But the constant degradation of otherwise attractive streets with Estate Agents hoardings are an eyesore. I too think they should be banned, in this day and age of internet use they are also redundant, people don't need to drive around looking for houses, they can use they web, while at home with a cup of tea. And while the multitude of street furniture may or may not be deemed as visual clutter, it cannot be agued that at least they are there for a necessary purpose, and neither are they painted in colours that try to attract your attention. Perhaps you work for an estate agent, you certainly seem to posess the utter disregard and lack of respect for people you deal with which in my experience is a pre requisite for the job. I look forward to your constructive comments on this board in future, or rather not. |
