| Hi Toby, so sorry Trixie is missing. As others have mentioned, posters, posters, posters!, on lamposts, trees, bus stops, aim to reach as many people as possible. As a lot of people drive, you also need to put flyers in every letterbox, at least 3 roads surrounding your own road. Each poster/flyer needs to have a photo on it, colour is best. Is Trixie insured?, If so, contact animalsearch.uk, they can make the posters and flyers for you free of charge thru the insurance. Search for Trixie off peak, ie early morning when there is less traffic/noise. Late night is also good but for safety I suggest going with another person. Also call all the vets in Acton to let them know if someone brings in a lost cat. A harder point is also let the council know, if God forbid, Trixie is in a road accident, they will know a cat fitting Trixie's description had been reported as missing but don't think too heavily about that one. When you call for Trixie, walk slowly and pause every few doors to listen out for her, does she normally come for food by the sound of tapping her bowl, if so take the bowl and spoon when you go out searching. Cats are survivors and never forget how to hunt so will provide for themselves if they are hungry enough. My own cat went missing last year for 58 days and thanks to some wonderful kind people here in Acton, he was amazingly found. so above all, don't give up hope. Fingers crossed. Come home little Trixie. |
