| I went past the first day of operation: several cars were hesitating at the roundabout and not observing the 'give way to cars approaching from your right' convention, so there may be trouble until people get used to it. The new system was also causing a hold-up as cars turned into Bollo Lane but couldn't proceed because of folk using the crossing and therefore blocked those wanting to go straight up or down Gunnersbury Lane. But early days yet... My memory of the lay-out first time round was that it worked well enough, but of course traffic wasn't as heavy then as it is now, and drivers generally seem to be more aggressive and less patient! |
