It must be very frustrating for the people of North Acton that having picked three councillors they have to vote again now that one of the Green councillors has stepped down. What makes it even more galling is that no explanation is being offered. It could be that Simon Anthony was selected as a 'paper candidate' but that would make little sense with the Greens hotly tipped to win seats in the ward. There are suggestions he is unwell, in which case, hopefully he makes a full recovery but why not tell us this? Could Labour now make the smart move and invite Daniel Crawford to contest the by-election?
