The original story about TK Maxx looking for a location in Acton came from one of those PR items that all retailers seem to put out these days with a scattergun list of potential sites they want stores in. The reality, apparently, is that a property team will be working on expansion and the last thing they would want is to highlight where they are interested in for fear of driving rents up. That's not to say there is nothing to this rumour but if one of these stories is the reason we are talking about it then we probably shouldn't get our hopes up.
