Apparently they do teach it in schools according to a Radio 5 phone-in. It was said that it is the adults who are leaving the rubbish - not the children who are more concerned about the wildlife and the environment. Is this true? Some years ago when I investigated the curriculum materials waste and recycling appeared at least three times on it. On a discussion at home we discovered that as children we picknicked with our parents on beaches and in parks but there was never any alcohol and we took all our waste home.. Roll on a Deposit Return Scheme - it is high time that packaging had a bigger price on it. Scotland is ahead of the rest of the UK of course. Take a look at: https://www.zerowastescotland.org.uk/ |
